Kalen DeBoer's second season leading the Crimson Tide went far better than his debut season with Alabama making the Playoff, and beating Oklahoma in their opener. Now that Kalen DeBoer has reached the postseason in Tuscaloosa, the task is building on the success, and eventually winning a National Championship.
The difficult part for Kalen DeBoer is that after a successful season, he's tasked with replacing key veterans. Ty Simpson, Germie Bernard, Kadyn Proctor, and Josh Cuevas headline the biggest losses on offense that the team will need to replace. In replacing some of the stars from last season, Kalen DeBoer will turn to some promising young players to fill the void.
Cederian Morgan earns high praise from Alabama teammate
One of the players Alabama fans are the most excited to see take the field this season is true freshman wide receiver Cederian Morgan. Alabama signed Morgan as the 50th ranked player in the class, the 6th ranked wide receiver in the class, and the 3rd ranked player out of Alabama, but he spent most of the cycle as a 5-star recruit.
As Alabama kicks off Fall camp, Cederian Morgan is impressing to the point that his teammate Lotzeir Brooks declared that the freshman can catch the ball better than anybody he has seen.

Freshman wide receivers making an impact have been a theme of Kalen DeBoer's time in Tuscaloosa, with Ryan Coleman-Williams' breakout in 2024 and the role Lotzeir Brooks played in 2025. Cederian Morgan has the talent to make a similar impact this season, and it certainly looks like he's proving it in Fall camp.
Where Cederian Morgan may make the biggest impact is with the injury to key Transfer Portal addition Noah Rogers. The NC State transfer suffered a scary injury in the Spring Game, and if he misses time, Cederian Morgan could slide into the role. Morgan brings the massive frame on the outside that Rogers would've brought, and it'll make him a great complement to Brooks and Coleman-Williams.
Alabama has a ton of moving parts to figure out in Fall camp, especially as the starting quarterback battle rages on. If Cederian Morgan can continue to look the part, it'll only help Kalen DeBoer, and the coaching staff as the offense looks to remain among the best in the Country.
