After Week 1 brought the excitement back for the start of the college football season, Week 2 should bring far better matchups. Most teams will go from facing opponents they had no business playing to competent Power 4 opponents, with league play beginning for several teams as well. Early in the season, it's hard to say matchups come with College Football Playoff implications, but the games this weekend carry that level of stakes.
The weekend will have everything from clashes between top 5 ranked teams, SEC showdowns, and massive rivalry games. We should finally see some major upsets, as well as games that shape the narratives around the strongest leagues in the country, with several SEC vs Big Ten clashes.

The winner will have the best win possible on their resume, while the loser will put themselves in a hole before they even kick off league play. Last season, losing the clash kept Texas out of the College Football Playoff, and with the strength of both leagues, that could be possible once again.

As is the weekly timeslot, this week's College GameDay begins at 9:00 AM ET from Austin, Texas, or at 6:00 AM Pacific Time for those on the West Coast. The show will be broadcast live on ESPN as well as on the ESPN App and will be available on streaming services like FuboTv. The broadcast will lead right into the 12:00 PM ET matchup between the Oregon Ducks and the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Glen Powell is familiar with the show, as he was the guest picker when Alabama faced Texas in Austin during the 2022 college football season. Glen Powell went 7-5 on his picks during his first appearance on the show. Football fans will best know Glen Powell for his role as Chad Powers, a spinoff of a famous Eli Manning prank.
