There is a palpable excitement among Nebraska football fans heading into the 2024 season. Matt Rhule has brought home to the Huskers and even though they went 5-7 last season, a stellar offseason has fans dreaming of a turnaround.

Of course, Nebraska football fans are used to being offseason champions. However, this season, the offseason should actually lead to more wins on the field. That's what tends to happen when you land a five-star quarterback and the Huskers did that with Dylan Raiola.

That wasn't the only quality addition for the Huskers though and looking at freshman and transfers from the 2024 class, here are three newcomers who will make the biggest impact this season.

QB Dylan Raiola

Nebraska football signed two Elite-11 quarterbacks in the 2024 class, but Nebraska made headlines when it flipped Dylan Raiola from Georgia before Early National Signing Day. It's the kind of move that changes a program, which is exactly what Husker fans are hoping.

Daniel Kaelin is the other talented freshman quarterback. Heinrich Haarberg will also return after winning five games as a starting quarterback last season. However, he's more of a runner. He struggled to throw and protect the ball.

Raiola threw just one interception during his final season of high school ball at Buford, a high school powerhouse in Georgia. It's a big leap to the Big Ten but the kid is super talented. His dad was also a former NFL center and Dylan has been prepping for this seemingly his whole life.

That's why I see him as the starting quarterback for Nebraska with a dude like that at quarterback, a bowl game will follow, as will a reduction in turnovers.
