Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Georgia State (Sun Belt) vs. Utah State (Mountain West)

  • Date: Saturday, December 23
  • Time: 3:30 PM EST
  • How to Watch: ESPN

Potato Bowl Prediction

Defense won't be a premium in this bowl game. The defenses rank outsdie the top 100 in scoring and total yards. Darren Grainer will lead the way for Georgia State and the quarterback passed for 2,364 yards this season. He also accounted for 25 total touchdowns. Utah State won three of four games to reach the postseason, which is always a good sign. The QB situation is undetermined, but Levi Williams led the Aggies to a bowl game and he should start. I'm taking Georgia State though.

Prediction: Georgia State 31, Utah State 28

68 Ventures Bowl: South Alabama (Sun Belt) vs. Eastern Michigan (MAC)

  • Date: Saturday, December 23
  • Time: 7:00 PM EST

68 Ventures Bowl Prediction

South Alabama is favored by 17 points according to DraftKings. QB Carter Bradley will start for South Alabama, which will also have a 1,000-yard rusher in La'Damian Webb. Eastern Michigan's defense played well down the stretch but still ranked 71st in yards allowed. South Alabama ranked in the top 30 in scoring defense and total defense, plus it will face EMU's backup QB since starter Austin Smith entered the transfer portal.
