On Thursday, the entire sports world had its attention on one story as Jayden Daniels' sudden feud against LSU. Late on Wednesday night, it was reported that Jayden Daniels' lawyers sent a letter to LSU, telling the school to stop using their client's Name, Image, and Likeness.

The bizarre saga reportedly is centered around Jayden Daniels feeling as if his former school slighted him. This Summer, LSU allowed defensive back DJ Pickett to wear the number 5 as Lane Kiffin and the Tigers staff learned that it was promised to him during the recruiting process. LSU retired Heisman winner Billy Cannon's number, while no one has been allowed to wear Joe Burrow's No. 9, even if it hasn't been officially retired.
Regardless of which side of the argument you agree with, if you went on the internet on Thursday, you couldn't ignore just how many memes were made regarding the situation.

As Jayden Daniels feels that the Number 5 belongs to him, at least at LSU, it led to everyone on Twitter/X making jokes about eliminating the number in general. One user joked that Adam Levine and Maroon 5 could be in trouble given that it's Daniels number, and the color he's wearing leading the Commanders.

The saga served as a nearly perfect escape for college football fans who have been counting down the days until the season returns. In the end, hopefully Jayden Daniels can find peace with his former school, but the story was perfect for anyone who wanted to make a joke about the chaos on social media.
