As a Maryland graduate who was born and raised in Memphis, Tenn., I have been following college football since Peyton Manning played at the University of Tennessee. I went to school for journalism because of the fact that I wanted to write about sports, and despite growing up a Volunteer fan and an SEC fan, moving to the East Coast has allowed me to embrace college football from a more national perspective. As of right now I still live in Maryland and consider the DMV home, but I never have forgotten my Memphis roots, which I consider home as well.
Writer of 2 books, Lover of Saturdays in the Fall. Former Navy Storekeeper and dad to 2. Married since 2000.
I have a passion for writing about Southern Conference football and basketball...Grew up in Greenville, S.C. attending Furman football games with my grandfather and my father...Attended Appalachian State University...I have covered FCS football for several internet websites, including The Sports Network.
We aren't called FanSided for nothing. Our network of sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites are powered by fans that want to cover their passions! Whether you are just looking to get your start in online media or you want to contribute to your favorite site as a hobby, FanSided wants to hear from you.
Our work is regularly featured on SI.com and Bleacher Report and many FanSided writers have gone on to work full-time in online media. FanSided hired over ten of its own writers in 2013 and there are currently FanSided alums working at other major media outlets and with professional sports teams.
FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn a network of over 290 fan-powered unique sports and entertainment sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
