Mack Brown led the Longhorns to a National Championship and he was run out of town last season so clearly, Strong won’t have that long to turn things around.
That hasn’t stopped Charlie Strong from trying to clean up the program by suspending and dismissing several players, including a few very talented kids. Still, Texas fans haven’t exactly been accepting of Strong from the start and now that the Longhorns are just 2-2, including an embarrassing 41-7 home loss to the BYU Cougars, those voices may grow louder.
However, the Texas board of regents have released a statement claiming they are in “full support” of Charlie Strong.
We’ll see if that changes at all tomorrow when the Longhorns welcome the seventh-ranked Baylor Bears to Austin (3:30 pm EST, ABC/ESPN2)
