Kenny Hill still expected to transfer to TCU from Texas A&M
Even though he isn’t on campus yet, Kenny Hill is still expected to transfer from Texas A&M to TCU.
Kenny Hill still isn’t on campus at TCU after announcing in January that he was transferring from Texas A&M after he lost the starting quarterback job, so should Horned Frogs fans be worried?

Per a report from Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, sources at TCU still expect Hill to make the move to Fort Worth. The only holdup is that a scholarship opening needs to be available for, at the earliest, the summer semester. That should happen next month, assuming everything goes as planned.
In January, it was reported that Hill was going to transfer in-state to TCU, leaving College Station behind. At this juncture, he has been released from his scholarship but is not on the campus.
It has been a whirlwind couple of months for Hill, who was released from his scholarship before the spring. He had not seen the field since October 18, during a 59-0 loss to Alabama. He was suspended for two games for a violation of team rules after the loss to the Crimson Tide and did not see the field again for the Aggies.
Kyle Allen was Hill’s replacement, and to complicate things further for Hill, the program signed elite prospect Kyler Murray in the spring.
Overall, Hill put up respectable numbers, tossing 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions which correlated to a 154.6 quarterback rating, finishing with a 66.7 completion percentage. He threw 17 touchdowns and two interceptions in his first three starts, but experienced a rough patch as he threw six touchdowns and six interceptions in his next three contests against Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Alabama.
Should Hill become a Horned Frog, he would be the only quarterback that the program has signed in 2015 as they did not recruit a signal-caller for this year’s recruiting class. Hill would have two years of eligibility remaining, but he would not be eligible this year as a transfer student.
Before we analyze his play, he needs to get to Fort Worth first, but that’s just a formality as he awaits an open scholarship which is coming in the summer semester.
