Phil Steele’s preseason 2015 All-Pac-12 teams

Phil Steele released his preseason All-Pac-12 teams for the 2015 college football season and a few eye-popping surprises await.

With Marcus Mariota gone from Oregon after winning the Heisman Trophy and leading the Ducks to the national championship game in 2014, the Pac-12 race could be wide open for USC, UCLA, Arizona or another team from the league to take the league crown.

The Trojans and Bruins are generating a lot of preseason hype and love from the collective media, including veteran college football expert, Phil Steele, who shared his preseason All-Pac-12 teams on Monday. It would seem Steele is buying the hype with USC quarterback Cody Kessler not only the first-team pick for the conference but also his first-team QB on his All-American team.

USC, UCLA, Stanford and Oregon placed two players on the first-team offense and UCLA leads the way with four on the first-team defense, including second-team All-American linebacker Myles Jack.

Utah had the best special teams in the country last year and they could again this year with kicker Andy Phillips and punter Tom Hackett the first-team picks at their positions.
