Report: LSU to host Purdue QB transfer Danny Etling
The LSU Tigers, looking to find another quarterback will host Purdue transfer Danny Etling on Friday and Saturday.
With the Tigers down a quarterback after Anthony Jennings was suspended indefinitely due to an off-field incident that occurred Thursday evening, the program now needs to find a quarterback to fill in the void. They began their search on Friday, hosting former Purdue quarterback Danny Etling for a visit that will last from Friday until Saturday.

Etling played for the Boilermakers as a freshman and sophomore, with his freshman campaign a very successful one on a personal level as he completed 149-276 passes for 1,690 yards and 10 touchdowns. He followed that up with a respectable sophomore season, throwing the rock for 800 yards and six touchdowns.
Due to transfer rules, Etling will have to sit out a season. Once he does so, he will have two years of eligibility remaining to play anywhere he chooses. Etling would be a nice fit for the Tigers, but he won’t be able to offer any depth or competition for Jennings or presumed starter Brandon Harris to solve their quarterback issues this year.
Etling was a highly regarded recruit out of Terre Haute South Vigo High School in Indiana. Tabbed as a four-star prospect, he was the No. 290 overall player in his class, the No. 17 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 5 overall player in the Hoosier State.
Do you think LSU would make for a nice second home for Etling to continue his playing career?
