Arizona State Recruiting: 4-Star quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole commits
Arizona State has been quietly making noise on the recruiting trail, and that continued today with the commitment of Dillon Sterling-Cole.
The Arizona State Sun Devils picked up a big commitment on Tuesday in the form of 2016 four-star pro-style quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole (Houston, TX. Westfield.) He made the announcement earlier on twitter.

Sterling-Cole is the No. 217 player in the class of ’16, No. 9 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 33 player in the state of Texas per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He received 11 offers in total and was recruited by Mike Norvell, who doubles as the program’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

The Sun Devils were very active in Sterling-Cole’s recruitment. He was first offered by the program on February 3, and they made his top eight, which he announced on June 4, and then his final five which he announced on June 20. He then visited the program on June 9 to solidify his decision before ending his recruitment with a commitment Tuesday.
With this commitment the Sun Devils 2016 class is filling in nicely boasting 11 total pledges in the class, and two four-star commitments overall. That is good enough for No. 38 in the country and No. 7 in the Pac-12 per the 247Sports Team Rankings. Strong-side defensive end Christian Hill (Glendale C.C. Glendale, AZ) is the other four-star commit in Todd Graham’s class.
Sterling-Cole plays more like a dual-threat quarterback, which can only help the Sun Devils. He is not the fastest runner, but can scramble once he finds an opening and compensates for his lack of speed with his agility, as he can make precise cuts with ease.
