Big 12 football spring preview looking at the biggest question facing each team, including whether the Oklahoma Sooners have the defensive depth to repeat as conference champions and get back to the College Football Playoff.

The biggest question facing the Big 12 conference is the possibility of expansion and the return of the conference championship game. While those answers will be decided by university presidents and conference commissioner Bob Bowlsby, we can focus on questions we can begin to get answers for during spring practices.

Spring football is picking up across college football as the weather begins to warm up and with that comes a renewed sense of optimism that this year can be the year, even for teams like Kansas and Iowa State.

While their definition of success is different from that of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor and TCU, spring football is a chance to see what teams have to work on before the season begins in September.

Some teams have more pressing questions than others, but the one thing they all have in common is they all have plenty of things to work in during the 15 spring practice and spring game in April.
