Lee Corso made his College GameDay Headgear selection this morning. Did he take top-ranked James Madison or No. 11 Villanova in this FCS matchup?

Lee Corso ran his record to 4-2 last week with his winning pick of TCU over West Virginia. He put on the Horned Frog head for his 300th headgear pick. He begins his next 300 picks by having to choose between a pair of highly ranked FCS teams.  No. 1 James Madison hosts No. 11 Villanova on Saturday afternoon.

College GameDay broadcasted live from non-FBS schools eight times prior to Saturday. Of those, Corso has selected the correct headgear six times. The last time GameDay went live from an FCS school was James Madison in 2015. On that trip, Corso came out dressed as James Madison before putting on the Duke Dog head. However, the then fourth-ranked Dukes were upset by the unranked Richmond Spiders, 59-49.

The Dukes are the defending FCS National Champions. James Madison has opened this season 5-0 to run up a 17-game winning streak, tops in Division I.

The Wildcats are 4-2 on the year. Villanova lost by just a field goal to fellow Philadelphia-area school, Temple. Their second loss came in overtime at Albany.

Corso’s season has been made up of a series of two-game streaks. He opened the season with a pair of wins in the first week. He then dropped both his Week 2 and Week 3 headgear selections. The legendary analyst then rebounded by winning his last two games.

So did Corso don the Duke Dog or Will D. Cat head? Did he bring back the James Madison costume?

Let’s go to the pick:

Corso went with the Dukes. It’s hard to pick against James Madison when they have been so unstoppable for the last two seasons. Add in that raucous atmosphere for GameDay and there wasn’t any chance that Corso was going to go with the Wildcats. Hopefully, the Dukes won’t let their backer down again.
