The 2018 NFL Combine has come to a close and with it, the last opportunity to see the 2018 draft prospects in action is through. Now the NFL executives and scouts will go back to their war rooms and deliberate, weighing the outcomes of this week against each prospect’s larger body of work.
Running backs and the offensive line started the week. It was no surprise that Penn State’s Saquon Barkley came away looking like a “can’t miss” star. He fared much better than Oklahoma offensive tackle Orlando Brown – who went from a first round lock to a second day pick, at best. See more Winners and Losers from Day 1.
Next up were the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends. D.J. Chark ran away with the 40-yard dash while Josh Allen looked every bit the strong-armed passer that teams had hoped he would develop to be. They both had much better days that Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli. See more Winners and Losers from Day 2.
The defensive line, edge rushers and linebackers worked out on Day 3. Several fringe prospects like Skai Moore and Tim Settle had uninspiring afternoons while UCF crowd favorite Shaquem Griffin stole the show. See more Winners and Losers from Day 3.
