Florida Football: Way-too-early 2019 game-by-game predictions
As you can tell by the photo above, it’s been a while since these two teams faced off. In fact, you’d have to go all the way back to 2011 for the last matchup when Gene Chizik and Auburn pulled off a 17-6 win at home over Will Muschamp’s Gators.

Thankfully, at least for Gator fans, those days are well in the past.
Florida has a distinct advantage here because the Tigers don’t quite have a set quarterback replacement for Jarrett Stidham though Gus Malzahn’s two options are talented: Malik Willis and Joey Gatewood. However, if he chooses to go with the latter, a redshirt freshman could dictate potentially his final season as head coach.
Auburn’s offense has plenty of questions to answer while Florida’s could be a well-oiled machine by this point in the year with Feleipe Franks playing his best football as a starter.
If this game was played in Auburn, I’d probably give a slight nod to the Tigers, but because it’s in Gainesville and Auburn will be forced to replace Stidham, the Gators will take this one.
Final Score: Auburn 21, Florida 30 (6-0, 3-0 SEC)
