About one year ago, Baylor offered four-star defensive end Princely Umanmielen and while he has arguably the best name in the entire 2020 class, he’s going to make it tough on the Bears to land him. He has to be a top priority for the Bears for signing day, especially after missing out on four-star defensive end Jonathan Horton to Virginia.

Dave Aranda should be an attractive coach for defensive players, especially a talented kid like Umanmielen who is looking to both improve and play early on.

The Bears need to add some defensive line depth but Umanmielen is good enough to where he could have his redshirt burned in 2020. He’s ranked the No. 241 overall recruit in the 2020 class and the ninth-best strong-side defensive end, per 247Sports.

Losing Horton hurt, but landing Umanmielen would more than make up for that, especially since he has a college-ready 6-4, 249-pound frame.

Aranda may have an uphill battle to fight here against the likes of Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas.
