Missouri didn’t have a single 500-yard receiver a season ago and the team’s top wide out, Jonathan Nance, is graduating. With his departure, the Tigers aren’t returning anyone who had over 400 receiving yards and only one player had more than 30 catches (Tyler Badie) and he’s a running back.

Kam Scott also announced his departure from the program via the transfer portal as the top returning wide out is junior Jalen Knox who had 19 catches for 307 yards last year.

That’s where Javian Hester comes in. He’s a four-star from Tulsa, Okla., who is ranked the No. 313 overall prospect in the 2020 class and 54th-best receiver, according to 247Sports. The No. 3 prospect from the state of Oklahoma picked the Tigers over the likes of Texas, UCLA and Oklahoma and has the talent and potential to have an immediate impact.

How could the Tigers not utilize a 6-foot-3.5, 181-pound four-star who was being courted by Oklahoma? This kid is going to be a stud at the next level and he should see the field as a freshman.
