2020 NFL Mock Draft: Complete 7-round edition
With the draft kicking off on Thursday night, we take a look at which prospects could end up being selected in our full seven-round NFL mock draft.
The 2020 NFL Draft is kicking things off on Thursday night with a remote virtual selection process and the Bengals have the first pick. We have a good idea of who they’ll pick, but what about the rest of the seven rounds?
Let’s get things started right away with the first round and Joe Burrow to the Bengals at No. 1 overall.
The Bengals get their franchise quarterback of the future in reigning Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow at No. 1 overall.
Washington is looking to stock up key defensive linemen like San Francisco with the best defensive player of this draft in Chase Young.
This pick is where the draft can get interesting. Without trades, the Lions can fulfill the biggest need on their team as they were last in the league in pass defense (284.4 yards per game).
Getting a tackle to block for Daniel Jones is essential but so is getting the versatile player like Isaiah Simmons on the defensive side of the ball.
After much evaluation, there are more reasons to believe that the Dolphins will skip out on Tua Tagovailoa’s durability issues and go safe at quarterback with Justin Herbert.
The Chargers believe in Tyrod Taylor but they believe they can make a long-term franchise quarterback out of Tua.
This pick seems locked in with the Panthers having the 29th-best rush defense (143.5 yards per game) in the league. Derrick Brown could fix that.
Arizona is loading up fast on offense and will need some solid protection for quarterback Kyler Murray after they gave up 50 sacks last season.
Jacksonville will look to make a big move for their franchise and their newfound faith in quarterback Gardner Minshew II with an immediate impact wide receiver.
The Browns need blocking support in the run game and passing game. They will get that with Wills at their main tackle spot.
The Jets need a No. 1 receiver but they cannot allow their quarterbacks to be sacked 52 times again this upcoming season.
The Raiders will need a No. 1 receiver like CeeDee Lamb to compete with Kansas City’s high-power offense and the rising capabilities of the Broncos and the Chargers.
San Francisco can look for a replacement for the traded DeForest Buckner but adding an elite weapon on the offense will put them back as NFC favorites.
Adding a reliable tackle like Andrew Thomas is a no-brainer after allowing 47 sacks last season and acquiring a 42-year quarterback in Tom Brady.
The Denver Broncos are desperate for a No. 1 wide receiver and might be looking to trade up. Justin Jefferson will still be available at No. 15, however.
The Falcons are needing to upgrade the front-seven of their defense. Getting Javon Kinlaw will help the Falcons in attacking the run and passing game.
The Cowboys are nearly depleted at the defensive backs and will need some serious talent. CJ Henderson has been one of the recent risers in the draft boards.
Miami’s offensive line gave up 58 sacks last season, which is tied for most in the league in sacks allowed. That needs to change with the addition of Josh Jones.
The Raiders are looking to add as much versatility and overall talent to their team as possible. Last season, they ranked 25th in passing yards allowed per game (256.7).
Jacksonville’s defense has not been the same since they traded away Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams so Kristian Fulton makes sense at 20.
The Eagles need serious help at the wide receiver position but they need depth and talent at outside linebacker.
A few seasons ago, the Vikings had one of the top defensive units in the league. Their impact dropped significantly and is looking for more consistent coverage players.
After allowing Tom Brady to leave via free agency, the Patriots will have to act quickly for their franchise quarterback in Jordan Love.
The Saints have seen a significant increase in production on the defensive side of the ball. All they need now is a field general on defense.
Minnesota also took a heavy loss on the defensive side of the ball in free agency with pass rushers. Yetur Gross-Matos will be able to get to the quarterback at the line of scrimmage or as a linebacker.
The Dolphins lacked a significant rushing attack last season as they were last in rushing yards per game (72.2). D’Andre Swift can also be a dynamic playmaker as an extra receiver in the backfield.
The Jadeveon Clowney experiment was a temporary success for the Seahawks’ defense but will now require a devoted full-time pass rusher.
The Ravens’ defensive efficiency has not been the same since they allowed middle linebacker C.J. Mosely to walk via free agency and it showed in the AFC Playoffs.
The Titans were close to grabbing a Super Bowl appearance. Now they will look to make themselves consistent on the defensive line.
Green Bay needs help in their passing offense and Davante Adams cannot handle the entire workload. A dynamic YAC-master like Brandon Aiyuk would be a welcomed addition.
Cornerback Richard Sherman is playing at a high-level but does not have a lot of time left in the league after turning 32 years old in March.
The Chiefs look to address their weakness of their entire with most of their impact corners gone.
