3. Defense must replace its “Big 3” from 2019

It’s tough to pinpoint the “key losses” from last year’s 11-win team, but I’d have to go with the “Big 3” on the defensive side of the ball.

Some fans of Florida may be all too familiar with losing a “Big 3” like when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh broke up after a short tenure with the Heat and they’ll be experiencing some deja vu with Jonathan Greenard (the team’s sack leader from last year), David Reese (last year’s leading tackler) and CJ Henderson (the team’s top cornerback) all gone.

Florida had the No. 9 defense in the country in terms of yards allowed and seventh-best scoring defense as well. The gators ranked No. 8 against the run and No. 32 against the pass.

That will all change.

Sure, Florida has some talent that will be replacing these three stars, but there’s no way they’ll be as productive as the trio of Reese, Greenard and Henderson right away. Plus, they were all leaders.

If Florida wants to have a top defense in the SEC yet again, it will need a miracle from the replacements of this “Big 3” which isn’t likely.
