2. The return of Hank Bachmeier was just what Boise needed

Without Jack Sears, George Holani and Hank Bachmeier, this team was rough against BYU. Sure, the defense didn’t need to give up 51 points to Zach Wilson and the Cougars, but not having the explosive offense that those three provide put a damper on the entire outlook.

Getting at least one of those three back for this game seemed critical for team morale.

The return of Bachmeier was the most important and his return brought some juice to the Broncos. Boise State looked like a completely different team with Bachmeier back under center and while his numbers weren’t earth-shattering, it was nice to see him get his rhythm back.

Bachmeier is only going to get better the longer he remains healthy and with more reps, so the Broncos are going to benefit from that but just having his presence on the field was huge, too.

Boise State needed life injected after a 51-17 loss to BYU last weekend and this return of Bachmeier did just that.
