2. Kyle Trask out-duels Mac Jones, locks up Heisman

The Heisman Trophy race is likely coming down to three guys this season. With Trevor Lawrence missing time, Justin Fields playing an extremely shortened Big Ten season and Zach Wilson not facing elite competition, Kyle Trask looks like the current favorite, followed by Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith.

Yes, the Heisman race could come down to Saturday night’s SEC title game.

Jones is coming off a tough game for his campaign as he didn’t throw a single touchdown pass while Trask threw a couple despite losing to LSU.

Trask is having the better year with over 3,700 yards and 40 touchdown passes while Jones has over 3,300 and 27 touchdowns. On Saturday, Trask will add to his numbers and extend his lead in the Heisman race by slightly out-dueling Jones.

This is a rare year where it seems like the Heisman winner won’t be from the national title favorite or a playoff team. Trask seems like the guy to beat right now and he’s only going to solidify his spot at the top with 350 yards and four touchdowns against Alabama.
