Kadarius Toney is looking like a mid-to-late first-round NFL draft pick. Which NFL teams would be the best fits for the Florida football star?

Florida has a couple of guys who are verging on first-round status for the upcoming NFL draft. The first is Kyle Trask who was a Heisman finalist this past season and led quite the Gator career after being an underrated recruit and battling it out with former blue-chipper Feleipe Franks for the starting job before the latter got injured.

The other is Kadarius Toney who had a huge senior season with the Gators, catching 70 passes for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns. He showed his versatility by rushing for 161 yards and a score on 8.5 yards per touch.

These numbers were enough to not only put him on top-100 draft boards, but earn him a spot in the first round of most mocks. He’s gone from unknown commodity to a top NFL draft prospect.

Which landing spots in the 2021 NFL Draft would yield the best results for the young receiver?

3. Indianapolis Colts (No. 21)

The Colts could use a cornerback and/or an offensive tackle, but one of their biggest needs is a receiver and in the latter half of the first round, Kadarius Toney would make a lot of sense.

Sure, there could be guys like Rashod Bateman or Rondale Moore who take priority for the Colts over Toney, but we don’t know how they value each wide out in comparison. Plus, Indianapolis is going to need some talented weapons to integrate in a new offense led by Carson Wentz following the retirement of Philip Rivers.

Wentz would love a speedy wide out like Toney who could line up in the slot and take a quick slant or screen 20-30 yards. He has experience as a running back so he has vision once he gets the ball in his hands and he’s as sure-handed as they come.

Pair Toney with a young budding star like Michael Pittman and you have the start of a really solid receiving corps. Plus, Indianapolis showed last year that it’s not far off from contending.
