Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. FAU Owls. player. 2399. Sept. 4. Gainesville (Fla.). 1

FAU finished second in the C-USA East last season but Lane Kiffin isn’t walking through that door any time soon. The Owls might be decent this year, but I just don’t see them hanging around with Florida for longer than a quarter.

It’ll be Emory Jones’ first game as a full-time starter for the Gators and he may have some growing pains, but he’ll adjust quickly and take advantage of a favorable matchup.

Florida runs away with this one.

Final Score: FAU 13, Florida 41 (1-0)

Even though the 2020 season didn’t feel normal — mostly because it wasn’t — South Florida still managed to open some eyes last year, in the worst way. The Bulls were one of the worst teams in the entire FBS as Jeff Scott took over.

South Florida won its first game of the season against The Citadel before losing eight straight games. The Bulls were barely competitive throughout the remainder of the year, losing all but two games by at least 10 points. They just didn’t have it.

Florida wins this one with ease as the offense shows flashes of greatness.

Final Score: Florida 48, USF 7 (2-0)
