SEC Football Power Rankings, Week 2: LSU plummets, Georgia shows grit
By Shelbie Warr
LSU looked lost for much of their Week 1 matchup with UCLA and many fans are already calling for Coach O’s head. Overall? Max Johnson doesn’t look like he is ready to be the starting quarterback, but with Myles Brennan hurt and TJ Finley now at Auburn, they don’t have much of a choice.
The Tigers do get a bit of a reprieve as they face off against McNeese, where Coach O’s son is the quarterback funny enough. But at this point, I wouldn’t buy stock in these Tigers.
A 10-point win over Central Michigan does not get you to the top half of the conference. If anything, it knocks you down a few pegs.
Now, Connor Bazelak and Co. have this week to figure out what is going on in Columbia because they face off against Kentucky to open league play and Will Levis is looking pretty good for the Wildcats as the Kentucky offense looks competent at the quarterback position for the first time in a while.
