2. Florida doesn’t allow more than two touchdowns in any game

The Gators are coming off a couple of pretty poor defensive performances over the past two weeks, losing at LSU by seven but giving up 49 points in the process and then surrendering 34 to Georgia in a blowout loss. Allowing an average of 41.5 points per game over the past two is not a good sign for Todd Grantham and the Gators.

So I think they bounce back and prove that they’re better than people give them credit for. I think LSU just plays Florida tough every year so that offensive outburst wasn’t shocking and Georgia is the best team in American right now.

Outside of those games and the Alabama matchup, the Gators haven’t given up more than two touchdowns in another contest all year. They held FAU to two, USF to two, Tennessee to two, Kentucky also had two touchdowns, and Vanderbilt was shut out the week before Florida lost to LSU.

Florida is going to get back on track defensively this month and allow zero of its opponents to record more than two touchdowns in a single game.

That’s how you respond to a shaky two-game stretch of allowing 40-plus points, on average.
