Harold Perkins is one of the top recruits in the entire country and you can watch about five seconds of his highlights and you begin to realize why.

The five-star linebacker committed to Texas A&M back on Jan. 2, but he seems to be keeping his options open before he officially puts pen to paper. He’s ranked the No. 5 overall prospect in the class as well as the No. 1 linebacker and Texas’ top recruit. He committed to the Aggies, but he took an official visit to Florida on Jan. 14 and has two more planned to Miami and LSU.

Florida is making a strong push for him, but it’s not going to be an easy task to flip him because he had been trending toward the Aggies for quite some time before committing.

It feels like he’s going to remain committed to Texas A&M, but it wouldn’t hurt Florida to make a run at him and at least make him think twice about whether he’s choosing the right SEC program.

Billy Napier has done a solid job in this recruitment to even give Florida a shot.
