In a look at college football recruiting headlines from the weekend, Dylan Raiola visited USC, plus 4-star OL Chimdy Onoh visited Ole Miss and more.

This weekend is the final weekend before the next dead period in college football recruiting and there has been plenty of news, even a few key commitments on Saturday.

However, some of the biggest news or potential news surrounds five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, who was at USC this weekend on an unofficial visit.

It was the first visit for Dylan Raiola since he re-opened his recruitment and while all of the Nebraska football assistants, outside of Matt Rhule visited Raiola this week, the Trojans got him on campus for a visit first and Lincoln Riley impressed as he always does.

Rhule visited Dylan Raiola as well during the college football recruiting evaluation period and the two seemed to develop a connection. Of course, there is a long way to go for Nebraska, which is competing against Georgia and USC.

Georgia might have some trouble landing the commitment of Raiola if offensive coordinator Tood Monken leaves for the NFL which is a possibility after we talked about earlier this week.

Raiola said he was going to visit USC again, at least according to what he told On3.com but Chad Simmons titled his article that Raiola “loved” USC so that’s a development.

Chimdy Onoh visits Ole Miss

Four-star offensive lineman Chimdy Onoh who is ranked in the top 200 of the 247 sports composite rankings, is one of the top unranked recruits in the 2023 class. Onoh is out of Maryland and Penn State is the leader according to the On3 prediction machine.

However, Onoh doesn’t have any expert projections from the On3 recruiting experts or any crystal balls from 247 sports. I still feel like Penn State is the team to beat but Ole Miss and Michigan State have both tried to make it interesting.

Wisconsin lands elite tight end

The recruiting momentum continues for Wisconsin as the Badgers landed the top-ranked tight end in program history in Grant Stec who is a 2024 recruit and committed to Wisconsin on Sunday.

Stec is ranked 212th overall in the 247 sports composite rankings and he’s the highest-rated prospect from the era of rankings to commit to the Badgers at the position according to Evan Flood.

Stec is 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, and another exciting weapon in the passing game, which has been a common theme on the recruiting trail for the Badgers since Luke Fickell took over.
