Sunday Afternoon brought the final College Football Playoff rankings of the season, as the committee has now officially set the rankings and bracket for the Playoff. Conference Championship Weekend brought a ton of drama and chaos as BYU lost, Alabama lost, and Duke won the ACC which gave us the most chaotic outcome possible.
Coming into Sunday, the committee had to figure out the final two places in the at-large bids as Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami, and BYU all had cases to make, but all had big flaws, especially after Alabama and BYU lost in blowout fashion. The other key debate was between James Madison and Duke, as winning a Power 4 conference was a big arguing point for the Blue Devils.
Who's in the College Football Playoff after the final CFP Rankings?
In the final College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings following the end of the conference championship weekend, Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, Miami, Tulane, and James Madison all would be in the College Football Playoff if the season ended today.
