The Los Angeles Chargers came into Year 2 of Jim Harbaugh's tenure with hopes of making a deep run in the Playoffs. Injuries to Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt early in the season decimated the Chargers offensive line keeping the team from making that Super Bowl push. The team should be much healthier in 2026 making it time to truly make a run.

Jim Harbaugh's roster is loaded with talent, but he's still continuing to build the roster in his vision. As the Chargers prepare to go on a run, bulking up on the defensive front could determine how far this team goes.

3 round mock draft bolsters the Chargers' defensive line

22. Los Angeles Chargers: Kayden McDonald - Defensive Tackle - Ohio State

The Chargers defense was solid against the run ranking 8th in yards allowed per game, but Jim Harbaugh has a chance to take the unit to the next level. After signing Dalvin Tomlinson in free agency, the Chargers could land another monster on the interior in Kayden McDonald. Pairing the duo would make it a nightmare to run on the Chargers while giving the team a plan for after Tomlinson's time in Los Angeles.

55. Los Angeles Chargers: AJ Haulcy - Safety - LSU

Derwin James continues to play at a high level, but pairing him with another star safety could give this defense a ton of flexibility. AJ Haulcy is the style of player that Jim Harbaugh would fall in love with as a defensive back with great ball skills, but a player who loves to come up and deliver big hits playing with a ton of physicality.

86. Los Angeles Chargers: Dani Dennis-Sutton - Edge Rusher - Penn State

Khalil Mack is back in Los Angeles, but the Chargers need to start planning for when he retires. Dani-Dennis Sutton would be a great player to add on Day 2 as a rotational pass rusher as he continues to develop. Dennis-Sutton had a solid season without Abdul Carter proving he can be a reliable pass rusher as the focus.
