During the 2024 college football season, Jermod McCoy looked like the best cornerback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle. Unfortunately, while working out in the offseason, Jermod McCoy suffered a torn ACL. Given the timing of the injury, Jermod McCoy wasn't able to make it back for the 2025 season or the NFL Combine.

As teams hadn't seen Jermod McCoy in action, there was some concerns over his injury with the potential to drop him out of the 1st Round. On Tuesday, Tennessee hosted it's Pro Day, and Jermod McCoy was stellar quickly ending any conversations of a Draft Day slide.

Jermod McCoy is now back in a debate to be the 1st cornerback picked in the NFL Draft alongside LSU's Mansoor Delane. Heading into April, 3 destinations stand out as likely landing spots for Jermod McCoy.

These 3 teams make perfect sense for Jermod McCoy

New Orleans Saints

The past two years have seen the New Orleans Saints lose a ton of cornerback talent with Marshon Lattimore, Paulson Adebo, and Alontae Taylor all departing. Adding Jermod McCoy to this secondary would give the Saints a star cornerback to build this defense around as some of the core pieces continue to age.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have shown in recent years that they're not afraid to pick an injured cornerback after taking Shavon Revel coming off his torn ACL last year. The Dallas defense was the league's worst and will need to be improved in the draft if this team is going to contend. Pairing Jermod McCoy with Daron Bland would give the Cowboys a duo in the back end to build around long term.

Miami Dolphins

Jeff Hafley takes over a Miami Dolphins franchise that's become a blank canvas as the team has parted ways with a ton of talent this offseason. As a defensive mind, Jeff Hafley knows the importance of having a talented secondary. McCoy could become the cornerstone of this rebuilding Miami defense helping the unit build toward the future.
