The
were the big winners this week in the AP Poll this week.
After dismantling the Texas A&M Aggies 59-0, they moved from No. 7 to No. 4. They leaped ahead of the Baylor Bears, who were upset by the West Virginia Mountaineers 41-27 and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who fell to the Florida State Seminoles 31-27.
The Bears dropped to 12 while the Irish fell to eight.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs remain No. 1 after the bye week while Florida State is still No. 2. The Ole Miss Rebels are No. 3 and the Auburn Tigers round out the top-5, ranked No. 5.
