National Signing Day 2018 is finally here. The remainder of the nation’s top recruits sign today. Stay tuned for all the latest updates and recruiting news.

A month after the end of the College Football Playoff comes the next major milestone on the college football calendar: National Signing Day. The remainder of the class of 2018 that is still unsigned following the Early Signing Period in December will submit their letters of intent, via fax machine, and end their recruiting process. This year promises to be different. The smaller pool of potential signees has muted the amount of suspense across the landscape of college football but cranked up the anticipation for the high-profile targets still making their decisions. ESPN will be live streaming the decisions of several major targets.

4:37 p.m. – Four-star WR Jaylen Waddle commits to Alabama and throws a signed Crimson Tide t-shirt and hats into the crowd

2:35 p.m. – Jacob Copeland, four-star WR, picks Florida over Alabama, Tennessee — his mother, wearing Alabama and Tennessee clothing got up and walked away when he announced

2:07 p.m. – Nation’s top athlete, Devon Williams, picks USC over Oregon

1:29 p.m. – Olaijah Griffin, a four-star CB and son of rapper Warren G, picks USC

Everyone wants to know whether or not Alabama can reclaim the top spot for what feels like the billionth year in a row. Saban has brought home the nation’s No. 1 class every year since 2011, but he’s got an uphill battle to fight in 2018. Here’s how the rankings stack up entering National Signing Day.

Next: Way-too-early college football top 25 rankings for 2018

Signing Day is the last major event in college football prior to real games kicking of in the fall. Fans will have to make do with spring games. Those will be here soon enough with the earliest kicking of at the end of March. These new signees won’t be participating, but it’s one more taste of football in what has already become a way-too-long offseason.
