Georgia Tech (-2.5) at Notre Dame

When: Saturday at 3:30 ET

What a bittersweet Saturday with was for Notre Dame and their fans. They dramatically beat Virginia and soon after found out quarterback Malik Zaire was out for the year. Because of the injury, Georgia Tech is a small favorite in South Bend.

DeShone Kizer takes over for the Fighting Irish and he made a spectacular throw to lead Notre Dame over Virginia. He might not be as good a Zaire but he was still a top recruit who had offers from of big-name schools. I don’t think the line move is warranted, and think Notre Dame can rally around the Zaire loss and put in a great effort against a ranked team.

Georgia Tech has an option offense and is 2-0. They beat Alcorn State and Tulane so this is their first real test before a challenging ACC schedule begins. Justin Thomas is a great quarterback but Notre Dame has better players at every other position group. The Fighting Irish also is used to the option offense because they play Navy every year. Notre Dame is still a better overall team and they are catching points at home. This is an obvious call for me.

Pick: Notre Dame (+2.5)
